Management
Rauma Art Museum is managed by the Rauma Art Museum Foundation that has representatives from the Rauma Art Society and the city of Rauma.

History of the museum
In the year 1969 Alpo Sarava, an artist, made a suggestion about founding an art museum to Rauma. Rauma Art Museum was opened to the public in December 1970.

History of the site of the museum
Pinnala, where Rauma Art Museum resides, is one of the most remarkable areas in the whole Old Rauma. The site holds buildings from the years 1795 and 1827.


Exhibition space
The exhibition space spans two floors.
Acreage of the first floor rooms is about 260 m2, length of walls about 100 meters and height 3,3 meters.
Acreage of the second floor is 180 m2, length of walls about 45 meters and and height 2,4 meters.
